Clinical judgment is the process nurses use to notice important patient information, interpret what it means, and decide what to do next. On exams, this often appears as questions that ask which finding matters most or which action to take first.
A useful mental model is to separate data gathering from interpretation and action. First identify relevant cues, then decide what those cues suggest, then choose an intervention that matches the priority problem.
Strong clinical judgment answers stay aligned with the scenario evidence. Avoid choosing options that would be correct in another context but are not supported by the information provided.
