Next Generation NCLEX

How NGN differs from classic NCLEX and what new item types emphasize.

The Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) expands how clinical judgment is measured. In addition to classic multiple-choice items, candidates may see case studies and stand-alone clinical judgment items that use richer patient data.

NGN item types can include matrix grids, bow-tie items, highlight text/table tasks, drag-and-drop cloze, and multiple-response formats. The shared goal is to evaluate how you notice cues, interpret meaning, and choose actions.

Studying for NGN means practicing with unfolding scenarios and learning to justify priorities from the data given, not only recalling definitions.

On Brispa International, you can reinforce this topic with NCLEX modules, practice questions, and NGN case studies when you are ready to apply the concepts. Browse modules or view plans.
