Prioritization questions ask what to do first, next, or most urgently. Frameworks such as ABCs (airway, breathing, circulation), Maslow-related needs, and acute-versus-chronic comparisons help organize options.
Unstable findings usually outrank routine comfort measures. Fresh postoperative changes, new altered mentation, or sudden respiratory distress typically take precedence over expected mild symptoms.
